Right to Left: Sisters Lee, Swann, Chapple, Liao
This week, I got a new companion here in Adna at transfers. Her name is Sister Liao. She is super awesome, and she is from Taiwan! We have language studies every morning for an hour, and we study English. Sister Liao's first Language is Mandarin. She is am amazing companion! Sister Liao has only 12 weeks left on her mission, so Adna will probably be her last Area. She has not served in a rural/country area before, so we have been having a lot of firsts - roasting her first Marshmallow, Touching a Cow, Seeing a Llama, etc.... lots to learn out here in Adna...! We plan on finding a lot of wonderful, amazing people to teach here, and we can't wait to continue to bring souls unto Christ. Sister Liao and I :) I love you all so much! Thank you all for your support and love!
Something that I have learned recently is that we all are given opportunities to learn and to grow, and we must bloom where we are planted! God puts us in places and situations so that we can accomplish his tasks, In his timing! Go With God, Sister Megan Chapple Adna. its all farm. :) Sister Lee and I. :) sister Lee and I had a Kitten follow us for a few miles while we were walking! So Cute! In Adna, we probably walk an average of 5-10 miles a day......! D&C 4:4 For behold the field is white already to harvest; and lo, he that thrusteth in his sickle with his might, the same layeth up in store that he perisheth not, but bringeth salvation to his soul; Lots of beautiful views when we are out knocking on doors from 5-7 here in the summer. There are a lot of hills in Adna, ( more like mountains!), and lots of beautiful scenery! On Saturday, Sister Muti and I got to go back to Silverdale 3rd, and go to the Seattle Temple with Our Recent Convert, Isaac Quitiquit, for his first time. We also went with Brother Ramon ( the awesome Blind guy who was baptized the end of last year!) we went with Sister Crane, the Chongs, and Brother O. Also on Saturday night, I was able to attend the Baptism of John Gartung. His family has been taught by the sisters in the last year, and his wife was baptized a few months ago, his girls where baptized when I was in Silverdale, and now the family is complete! So beautiful to see an entire family united in the gospel! Right to Left: Sister Harbaugh, Sister Chapple, Sister Muti, John, SIster Baldwin, Sister Taylor My Sister Missionary Tan Lines on my Feet....! Kinda Funny! All that walking!

Go Forward with Hope. Have Faith in the Future. Go With God, Sister Megan Chapple What is my purpose as a missionary? why am I here? why do I go out every day and share the gospel with everyone that I come in contact with? Everyone that we come into contact with is a child of our loving heavenly father. Gods purpose is to bring the pass the immortality and eternal life of man (Moses 1:39), and that can only be achieved in families. we have earthly families in this life, but as eternal being and spirit children of heavenly parents, we can all be sealed together forever. Our existence does not end when we grow old, and pass away from this mortal life. We continue to learn and grow as families. the family unit is essential to who we are, and who we can become. I am go grateful for my earthly family, and for all of those people that I talk to everyday, who are part of my eternal spiritual family. my purpose as a missionary is to unite our family, gods family, for eternity. even if I were to only bring one soul unto Christ, how great will be my joy. I challenge each of you to stand for the family, and to strengthen your relationships with those that you love - not only your immediate family, but your eternal family. think outside the box, learn to talk to strangers, help invite them to share in the gospel, which ultimately leads to the temple, and eternal families. " We are the Lord's hands here upon the earth, with the mandate to serve and to lift His children." - President Monson Lift our family higher by standing for truth and righteousness. Share the gospel with our WHOLE family. Everyone is a child of god. I am grateful for my earthly family, and the support that they are to me. I love them so much, and I am so happy that they are a driving force in my life. I know that my purpose here in life is to raise a family up in righteousness to the lord, and I am so grateful for the gospel, and the blessing that I have to share it with my eternal family, and my brothers and sisters here in Washington. The Church is true. The priesthood is Restored. Go with God, Keep Moving Forward, Sister Megan Chapple MY last picture with Brother Ramon! Sister Lee and I. Diane Lives in Lakewood, and I was able to attend her Baptism!
SHOUT OUT to Blake and Diane! <3 so happy I got to see them! I have been in the Silverdale 3rd ward for 6 weeks now, and tomorrow, I will be transferred to Adna, which is in the Centralia stake. I have served in the Tenino area before, which was also in the Centralia stake. There are only 2 sister areas in that stake, so going to Adna now, I will have served in both of them! I am so grateful for the opportunity that I had to serve here in this area, and I am grateful for my Companion, sister Muti, and all that she has taught me. I have been in many different areas on my mission so far, and I have had a new companion almost every 6 weeks, but I know that everything happens for a reason, and that we can't look back in life but we must keep moving forward, and seeking to grow and become. I am grateful for the opportunity that have to be a missionary and to be on the Lords errand. My new companion is going to be Sister Lee. She came out the transfer after me, and she is super sweet! I know that being transferred to a new area with a new companion will be an opportunity to learn, to grow, and to become better. When we can recognize that the changes in out life are all for us to learn and to grow - the good and the bad, the hard times, and the fun times, then we can become who our father in heaven wants us to be. Be positive. Let the Lord be an important piece in your life.
Keep moving forward, Go with God, Sister Megan Chapple My New mailing address is: Sister Megan Chapple PO BOX 263 Adna, WA 98522 Dear Future Husband, Fathers Day is here, and with so much to celebrate, I just wanted to let you know how important you are. This Holiday is not only to celebrate those who are currently fathers, but also those who will be, and have covenanted with our Heavenly Father to become such. Each and every man here on earth has been for-ordained to become a father and raise a righteous family up to the Lord. A fathers job is to protect, and preside over a family in love and righteousness. "By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families." You have placed yourself on that path as you have covenanted with your Father in Heaven to Love the Lord and serve him the very best you can. It is only through the grace of God that we are able to shape our lives, and our homes around our Savior, Jesus Christ, and dedicate our lives to him. Each man (and woman) is given to each his own agency, or the ability to make choices in life. The choices that you have made thus far, and the righteous and worthy life that you continue to live and strive for, is a commendable attribute in every Father. Although sometimes we seem to fall short, or may feel inadequate, our Redeemer and Brother, Jesus Christ, is there to catch us when we fall, and to make-up the difference when we are willing to keep moving forward. Our Father in Heaven loves you, and has a plan for you. You are the literal offspring of our Heavenly Father, and as his son, you have the divine ability to hold and carry the mantle of the Priesthood Power to fulfill your Priesthood duties. Every daughter of God desires to partake of the blessings of the Priesthood, and what better way to share gods power and love for his children than to marry and have a family with a man who is worthy to bless every one of Gods children (and your children!) by the way he chooses to live his life. I am so very grateful for the influence of my own earthly Father in my life. I was blessed enough to be born into a family, a righteous home, that was presided over by a Father, a priesthood holder, and an eternal friend. I was blessed to live with my amazing father for almost 12 years. 12 years that were one of the greatest gifts from god that I have ever been given. How sweet it is to have known such a noble man, my earthly father, James Stephen Chapple, who he was, and what he stood for. When my father suddenly passed away in January of 2007, I was devastated. How could God take my Father away from me? How could I move forward without the Priesthood influence in my immediate family? Things began to change. I no longer felt the loving influence of a righteous and worthy Priesthood holder in my home. Friends, Family, Uncles, and Home Teachers all opened up their hearts to my family and I, to do what they could to father my Sisters, my Brother, and I, but losing my Father at such a young age has definitely shaped who I am, and who I will become. Don't ever take your family for granted. Make every moment count. This life is short, so don't waste it! You never know what you have until it's gone. I am grateful to my Father for his leadership and influence in my home growing up. My father passed away from a sudden heart-attack while on a business trip away from home, but before he left, we said family prayer, and I was able to hug and kiss my father goodbye. Always take the time for Family Prayer. There is a real power that comes though prayer, especially family prayer, when a home is watched and presided over by a man who holds the Priesthood power of God. Never think that you are not good enough. We all have different personalities, goals, and purposes here in this life. As individuals, God gave us talents and abilities, that make us all unique. Satan my try and tell you that you are not good enough, or that you may be inadequate, but to all Fathers everywhere, Past, Present, and Future - Just know how much you really mean to me, and every future Mother, and Wife. We extend to you this much on this Day- Thank You. You are Enough. You are of Worth. You are doing a great Job. We need You. Keep moving Forward. Thank you for being righteous and worthy Priesthood holders. Thank you for choosing the right, and rising above the world when its temptations seem to call you by name. Be Strong. Every hour of service, every humble prayer, every thoughtful and kind word and deed makes you a real Man. It sends a solid punch to the face Satan's way, as you strive for those things that matter most, those things that are Eternal. Don't ever sell yourself short. Maintain an Eternal perspective, by remembering that every choice you make affects not only you, but also your future Wife, Children, and Posterity. Re-commit now to always be worthy to hold and use the Lords Priesthood Power. Put yourself at all times in places where you can stand upon the Rock of our Redeemer, and never fall. You are a Light on a Hill. As God's Son, You shine the light of righteous living, by preparing yourself to fulfill all that God has in store for You. You are a Son. As a Son of an Eternal Father, you love and cherish Him, and His plan of Us, but you also honor your earthly Father and Mother. Tell your earthly Father how much you love him, and how grateful you are for his example of understanding, and righteous living in Life. If your father did not live his life within the Gospel bounds set by the Lord, it does not mean that you can not. Change. Become. Always appreciate the Priesthood Power. As a Woman, growing up without the priesthood in my home for many years, I am grateful for the future Fathers at School, Work, Etc, who have chosen to live their lives in such a way that they are worthy to share our Heavenly Father's Love with me through the Priesthood Power. You are not entitled to the Priesthood. It is a gift, and you are to share it with the World. Thank you for sharing Gods Love with me, and the other future Mothers in Life. You are fulfilling your duties as a Father in Zion, as you wake up every day, and commit to live the best life that you can. Dedicate your life to God, Look to the Future, and Never forget who You are, and who You are to Become. In my Life, I know that I will settle for nothing less than a righteous and worthy Priesthood holder, who will take me to the Temple of God, there to be Married for time and all Eternity. Never allow yourself, or anyone of Gods children to settle for anything less than a Temple Marriage. Gods purpose is to bring about the eternal life of Man. Moses 1: 39 - For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. Eternal Life is found in Happiness, and Forever Families. To each and every one of Gods purposes, there is a place and a time. When the time is right in God's eyes, you will find someone to Marry. If you have already found the one for you, pray about it. Who better to ask about who you should marry, start a family with, and how to prepare to become a father than our Eternal Father in Heaven. It's all His plan, and Families centered in Temples is an essential part in His plan. It is Not your plan. "Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don’t come until heaven; but for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come."- Jeffrey R. Holland Believe in good things to come. I am so very grateful for our current Fathers and Husbands, and the support that they offer to their Wives and Mothers; what noble examples they are. But this Letter goes out to each and every one of you future Fathers and Husbands. To my future Husband, and to each and every young man who has lived in this fallen world, Thank You. You make a difference. If you don't like something about yourself, Change it. Marry a Daughter of God for all Eternity. Serve a Mission. Be worthy of the Priesthood Power. Shine the Light of Christ. Pray for Strength. Become a Husband. Become a Father. On your Special day, I extend my love to You. As a future Wife, I must strive my best to life worthy to have one of Gods chosen Sons and Priesthood holders as my Eternal Companion. Thank you for your example. Thank you for your Light. Keep going. Don't you quit. In the end, it is worth it. Never forget that you are more thank just a man. You are a Son, You are a Husband, and You are a Father. Your Eternal Sister,Future Wife, and Future Mother in Zion, Sister Megan Chapple Change. it is something that we all go through in life, and somethings that allows us to become better then we were before. Everything that we experience in this life, allows us to change, and become who God wants us to be. We are all given the tools in life to succeed, and to fail, depending on our agency, and Gods timing. So changes are for the better, and some seem to be for the worst, and yet, every change leads us back to the atonement, and the plan of salvation. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Everything that we experience is for a wise, and glorious purpose, and it is according to his will, not our own. This last weekend, I was able to go back to Yelm, for the baptism of Judy Wiese. She is an amazing spirit, and she overcame a lot of opposition in her life, as she walked to path to baptism, and following Jesus Christ. There were many changes that she had to make in he life, that have allowed her to come unto Christ and be Baptized. This is Brother Michael Ramon. He was baptized about a year ago, and he is Blind. A few years ago, he had surgery done on one eye that he had gone blind in due to his diabetes, and after the surgery, it quickly spread to the other eye. the surgery left him completely blind in both eyes. He was taught and baptized by the sister missionaries, and he has such a big heart! Brother Ramon does not let the trials and challenges that he has faced in his life keep him down. he has Recently taken to the philosophy,"Sometimes the things we cant change, end up changing us." We are currently helping him with his family history work, and he recently received his Patriarchal Blessing, which Sister Muti and I were invited to attend. What an amazing experience to share with such an amazing man! I am so very grateful for the experiences that I am here in the Silverdale 3rd Ward, and I am looking forward for all of the many blessings and joys to come! Change is something that is inevitable, and an essential part of gods plan. without change, we would not be able to grow. We must come to accept that this life is the time to allow ourselves to change, to grow, and to become the best versions of ourselves. I challenge you all to remember that although sometimes change can be hard, we can maintain an eternal perspective.
"It is not 'why me?', its 'who for?'." - Unknown Remember to take a step back, and see the good and the growth that can come from change in our lives. Alma 5:7: “Behold, he changed their hearts; yea, he awakened them out of a deep sleep, and they awoke unto God. Behold, they were in the midst of darkness; nevertheless, their souls were illuminated by the light of the everlasting word.” Change with Christ. Grow, Reach Your Potential. Go With God, Keep Moving Forward, Sister Megan Chapple Isaac Joseph Quitiquit was a man who has been searching for Christ in his life. This last weekend, sister Muti and I were able to help him be baptized, and find the light of the Restored Gospel. He had done lots of soul searching, and studying the history of religion, and Christs Gospel, and eventually found his way to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. no matter what challenges or trials we may face, we can keep moving forward, and find strength through the gospel of Jesus Christ. If we are lost, we can be found. If we fall, we can stand up. We can be strong in a world that is build upon a sandy foundation, We can move forward with faith, and continually seek Christ. We are never beyond hope, or the far reaching arms of gods love. "We can't predict all the struggles and storms in life, not even the ones just around the next corner, but as persons of faith and hope, we know beyond a shadow of any doubt that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and the best is yet to come." - L. Tom Perry Go forward with faith, and face your storms, just like Isaac has. we can can continue to grow and change never give up. dont quit. Remember who you are. Keep Moving Forward, Go With God, Sister Megan Chapple Sister Chapple, Sister Muti, Hap Olsen, and Isaac Quitiquit
Sister Muti and I are doing very well! We have baptized 2 people already, and we are baptizing a third this Saturday! I can't wait! Also, I will probably be going back to Yelm for Judy's Baptism in June. My companion, Sister Muti is Tongan. She was born in Tonga, grew up in Hawaii, and then moved to California after high school. She is 27 years old. The ward here is really awesome....! I love it! There are a lot more people here - it is comparable to my area in the Soundview ward. There is a lot of water here, lots of bridges, and lots of roads that follow along the coast line. There is also a naval base in my area, Bangor Naval Base. We have been on base before for teaching appointments, and member meals. We are escorted on base by someone who lives on base, and we have to show our government id every time we go on base. And yes, I got Aunt Joy's package! I loved it! It was just what I needed, even the tooth brush that Doug picked out was perfect! And yessss!!! I am sooo totally pumped to receive more of dad's mission journals! You could seriously like, sell copies of it is so good! Lots of people would read it! I can't wait to read the rest of his mission journals! I have let some of my companions read his journal and they really like it. I have even had other missionaries ask me what kind of things he write about on his mission, because they are striving to better journal writers and they have heard me talk about how much I love reading my dad's mission journals! I met a family here who said they know Jaclyn, and they sort of remember Elder Evan Estes too! Jaclyn was in their ward when they lived back East! They were so happy to hear that she is still strong in the church and married in the temple. Their names are Brother and Sister Christy and Chris LeBlanc. They told me to tell her they say Hi, and they are proud of her... so maybe you could tell them, because I don't know their new address yet....? Also, please be sure to thank Evan for the pen... I use it every day! Tell Grandma Hunt that I love her, and that I am grateful for her. She is an awesome example :) Tell Ian I say hey, and the California Chapples too, and have fun in California! I love you Momma, and I am so grateful for you. I love you lots Momma~! Your daughter, Megan :) My companion Sister Muti and I WA-TAC Mission Sister Power!
