Slug Train in Tenino Sister Muto, My Trainer
My mission is going great! Last week we had zone activity which was super fun, and I got to make my peanut butter cookies for the Adna Sisters - they are both Gluten free, and they really enjoyed the cookies! Sister Muto and I got to make cute little "thanksgiving blessings" trail mix things to hand out to some of the people in our ward, which was a lot of fun! We decorated for Christmas ( we got just a little bit excited) and there are a lot of cute Christmas shops and bazaars in the area, and they are super awesome! Brother and Sister Harwood ( the mission housing coordinators) stopped by and brought sister Muto and I a lamp for out living room, which is kinda dark because there is in overhead lighting. I also got a new study table, because the one I was using was super old, and falling apart. there are still a lot of things we are trying to figure out in the new apartment, because it has only had missionaries in in since September 26....! We love it though!
We put our investigator Jerry on date a while back, and we have finally secured a date for him on the 12th of December - Jerry is 75, and his wife passed away a few years back - she got baptized about 5 years before she died, and the missionaries knocked into her. Jerry is a very sweet man, and he really likes the concept of eternal families. we cant wait to teach him more and baptize him! he wants to go to the temple and be sealed to his wife for all eternity!
We also have a lady named Sue who we are taking on a tour of the church this week, and she wants to come to church on Sunday. She seems quite interested in the Church which is fantastic! we cant wait to teach her!
There is a lot of fresh produce in the area, in the last few weeks, we have received fresh apples, kale, carrots, bell peppers, banana peppers, squash, tomatoes, fresh eggs, etc. the ward takes really good care of us! I love the area here, and hopefully I don't get transferred before thanksgiving ( transfers are 2 days before thanksgiving!) because if I stay, Brother Mayberry will let me help him kill his Turkeys! how cool would that be?
There are 120 cars in our mission ( the most out of all the missions in the world! :)) because all of the sisters have cars, and some of the elders depending on the area. we have a limited amount of miles each month, but we also have to remember to fill up on gas - my trainer, Sister Muto, has ran out of gas twice before in this area, and had to be pushed.... and since I've been her, we haven't run out...yet... haha
Tenino is awesome, and Washington is a beautiful place! I love sharing the gospel and bringing souls unto Christ!
Keeping it Real!
