This Is Janice Gonzales. She is one of the most amazing people I know. Jan was baptized about 6 weeks ago, after she quit smoking and drinking coffee. She had smoked for 50 years, and had been unable to quit smoking, until she found the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. She has been doing Genealogy work for the last 40 years, and is a family history professional! On Saturday she went to the Seattle Temple to do Baptisms for the Dead. She found some of her own Family names, and Sister Taylor and I were blessed to be able to go with her for her first trip to the House of the Lord. She is Serving god by helping to find those who have passed beyond the veil, and performing saving ordinances for them! I love her so so so so much!
Seattle. The Seattle Temple is Loacted in the Seattle mission, and when you are driving from Sequim or Port Angeles, you take the Ferry to Seattle, and then drive to the temple, located in Bellevue.
Seattle Space Needle.
Picture on the Ferry Ride......! I don't think I have ever been on a ferry this big before!
When we are out tracting, something that is kind of funny about the mission (not just Sequim, I have had this in a few of my areas, including Tacoma!) is that there are lots and lots of deer that just walk around in everyone's yards, and they eat their plants....! I have seen some pretty epic fortress walls that people put up around their houses- not to keep the people out though, just to keep the deer from eating their flowers and stuff! Kinda funny! Just another one of those fun tender mercies that I have in my life as a missionary, in the service of God.
Just found out I have a cousin coming to the WA-TAC in December.....! So excited!
This is a really great Mormon message, that got me thinking this week. you should all watch it :) ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓
We Can FORGET ourselves in our sorrows, and trials. It is when we REMEMBER and serve others around us that we truly find ourselves. God will be with us and help us when we do so. Have A Great Week Everyone! Remember who you are, and don't forget to pray!
Keep Moving Forward,
