After returning home from school in April, I made it a priority to finish up my mission papers (which I had started up at school in Rexburg) and to do everything I needed to send them in to Salt Lake ASAP! This included the removal of my wisdom teeth, numerous trips to the doctor, and scheduling my meetings with the bishop and stake president.
I finally submitted my papers in June, and a week and a half later received my call to serve in the Tacoma, Washington Mission.

I had two jobs this summer; I returned as an employee for the City of Chandler Recreational Department for the second summer in a row, and I also took on a nanny position - both jobs have allowed me to earn funds to support my mission, and add to my savings for school as well. I report to the Provo Missionary Training Center on October 1st, and my Mission Farewell talk is this Sunday, the 28th.
I am in the process of gathering my last few things together for my mission, and finishing up everything that I can to be the most spiritually and physically prepared to serve the people of Washington.
Whether it's the rain boots and the leggings, or the scriptures and the study helps; everything that I have obtained in recent months has helped me to know that no matter where the Lord sends his missionaries, he know us all individually and has a plan for each of us. I can not wait to touch the hearts of the people in Tacoma, and I know that serving a mission is something that God his planned for me in my life right now.
I have never had a blog before, and I struggle with disclosing information in a written form, however, I hope to develop these skills over time, and I can not wait to keep you all posted on my missionary life! Get ready everybody, 'cause here I come!
